SIMON MILES Talks About his ‘Guide Me Home’ Release and More About his Artist Life

  1. Hey SIMON MILES! I am glad to have you here again to talk about your ‘Guide Me Home’.
  • Thanks for having me! Glad this one is out.
  1. You recently released ‘Guide Me Home’ Can you tell us more about your latest release? What inspired you to produce it?
  • This track is based on Julianne Auroras simple chord arrangement with the vocal melody on top. I immediately knew this vocal has potential and started building a track around it. For me it was important to make a melodic yet hard kicking track.
  1. Talking about production, you moved into a new studio last year. How did that affect your creativity?
  • The new studio definitely helped me to stay in the flow while being in the writing process.

Before that, I had a homestudio and I got distracted quite fast. Also I can use the loud studio speakers after midnight, which would’ve annoyed my neighbours before. So I would say it definitely affected my creativity in a positive way.

  1. Are you ready for the 2024 festival season that’s going to start soon? Have you prepared IDs for your DJ sets?
  • Absolutely! I have arround 10 unreleased ID’s ready, which I cannot wait to play live this summer.
  1. Can you disclose a few festivals/clubs that you’re excited to play there in 2024?
  • I’ll be playing Beachfete Sluderno in Italy, Openair Gampel as well as Back Up Festival in Switzerland, just to name a few. There are many more but these are some absolute highlights to me.
  1. If you could invite one person to dinner, dead or alive, who would it be?
  • Definitely Ryan Tedder from One Republic. Such an inspiring musician and writer! But also very experienced in the music business in general.
  1. Are you a morning, afternoon, or evening person?
  • Actually a morning person. Which is difficult to handle with my job as a DJ.

The day after a show, I always try to get up and do my normal morning routine.

  1. What piece of advice would you give to a DJ/Producer who’s just starting their musical journey? What advice would you give to young SIMON MILES?
  • Don’t copy. Wheter that’s trends or other artists. Find a direction you absolutely love and stick with it. Trying to recreate certain sounds can help to learn more about production, but it’s not meant to make it public if it’s only copied.
  1. What’s next for you after the release of ‘Guide Me Home’? Do you have any upcoming projects or plans that you can share with your fans?
  • I definitely got a lot of music to put out this year, which I can’t wait for you to hear! Lot’s of clubby tunes. And we’re currently working on my show concept with new visuals, so don’t miss my live shows nearby!
  1. This is all for now. Thank you for your time answering our questions. Where can our community find out more about your music and your future releases?
  • We try to post on all socials. But for a current insight what’s going on, Instagram and YouTube will serve you best.
